Community Relations

SRB is proud to serve the community, hosting and supporting signature regional events throughout the year. From aviation showcases to family-friendly festivals and public safety demonstrations, the airport plays an active role in connecting the Upper Cumberland both on the ground and in the air. While the airport has served as host to many events in the past, information on current planned events are listed below.

Current Annual Events

Special Olympics Plane Pull

Pulling for a Purpose Plane Pull, presented by Deltcorp Industries, brings teams of law enforcement, community members, Unified Clubs, and Special Olympics supporters to compete and see who can pull a plane the fastest. Not up for the challenge? Lace up your running shoes and take part in the Run the Runway 5K! Whether you’re pulling or running, it’s all for a great cause!

Annual Upper Cumberland Emergency Preparedness Expo

Activities: First Aid/CPR basics, pet preparedness, car seat checks, and live demonstrations, including military and medical helicopters. Safety Focus: Promotes community preparedness with interactive exhibits from local rescue squads and agencies.

Trunk or Treat with Planes

Come get some candy and see lots of different airplanes, helicopters, firetrucks and much more! Everyone is welcome to attend, just save the candy for the kids (14 and under).
